Starting with SHINee who shouted ‘Noona*’ (*older woman) and another idol group called Infinite was formed 2 months ago with 7-member, and most of them are younger than 20 years old.
There’s also a group called ‘Low Teen’. And a group with the average age of 16 called ‘Teen Top’. They even become a topic in MTV US before their debut. Especially Teen Top’s lead vocal called Niel who attracted their attention and receiving many interests. MTV officials said, “His music color is reminiscent of Michael Jackson’s childhood in Jackson Five.”
Niel’s practice video received so many comments from fans who are waiting for their debut in Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan, US, Philippine, Indonesia, etc.
Teen Top’s director called Shin Minkyung said, “I think we will be able to attract some music fans who used to listen to dance music with their ear cleansing and clear voice. And you can also anticipate their potential, and the growth of young artists.”
